My Credo

I found a new word sounds nice today. Credo.

One of My credo in my life is a famous phrase that is said by Shinsaku Takasugi, Japanese Samurai who lived and played an active and important role for the Meiji Restorration.

"The world that is uninterested, I shall interesting."

or like...

"Let us make an uninteresting world interesting."

Also it can be translated to

"Do something interesting in this boring world!!"

the Use of the Space for Milityary Purpose

The aim of this Blog is to create a my own English dictionary or to practice writings in English. So, to do this, I'll add some comments on articles that is about Japan, or just that is interesting for me.

The protest against China's Tibet control has been spreading over the world. China says that you have to think of sports and politics separately, though he made a use of it as much as possible before. But I can't deny this fact because all of things in this world connects with each other. That's why we suffer. We have to think.

The Space, as well. Japan lunched a new law that allows himself to use the space for military purpose. It doesn't sound good, but we need to face up to the reality that many country are using the space to get profits for themselves. Of cause, though realism is not just to confirm the reality.

the Reason He Travel to Hokkaido

A few months ago, one my friend told me a story of his traveling to Hokkaido, an island located in northern Japan.

He visited there just to see a distiller. I could not understand what's interesting to go there, but I found his thought now through the following article.

Jules Verne

Jules Verne is one of the most favorite author when I was young. Today I found his name at a science information site, Science Daily. He dreamed up a way to Moon in his works but he never go to space.

Now, in 2008, a spacecraft named his name reached to the space at last. His imagination was realized by people who take over it.

What does he think if he knows his name flied to the space?

Silicon Valley Proverb

A-level people tend to work with A-level people.
B--level people tend to hire C-level people.

This is timely word for me because I'm in job hunting just now.
I may be able to change this proverb to "If you wanna be a A-level person, want to work with A-level people!"

Let's get started again!

I haven't come to this site for a long.
More than one month has already passed since I got back home from Lithuania.
Of course I don't have any opportunity to use English except for talking with my foreign friends, but I still feel the necessity of English skills even in Japan.
When I was listening to Top Speech of some company as a process of job hunting, or when I was reading news paper in daily life.
After the exchange program, I started to think that the world is really connected each other, and I must learn English to input and output information to understand what we are now.

as a practice to do that, I put a good material reading.

Silence

"He who does not understand your silence will not understand you words."

Now I will value the communication way of silence more. "Silence is golden."

skyscraper

A skyscraper is a very tall, continuously habitable building.

I would have a exam this afternoon, but I came to be crazy about looking over skyscrapers in the world. I don't know why I did so. Then I missed a class which I would have a exam. Well, all I can do now is just laughing. hahaha...

At the present moment, the world's tallest completed skyscraper is Taipei 101 in Taiwan. I haven't seen this building but I think the Petronas Twin Tower is much more beautiful that I visited during my Great Journey. And the Petronas Twin Tower was the world's tallest building in 20th century and is still the world's tallest twin tower. I still remember the feeling that came to my mind when I saw the skyscraper. I was so impressed and overpowered the beauty of it.

calligraphy

M. Typography is the art and techniques of type design, modifying type glyphs, and arranging type.

Steve Jobs who I really respect said about connecting dots in his address.
He dropped out from his college and he took a course of typography that looked interesting. None of that had even a hope of any practical application in his life. But ten years later, when he was designing first Macintosh computer, it all came back to him. Of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when he was in college. But it was very very clear looking backwards ten years later.
